construction

The most widely known aspect of Habitat for Humanity is its dedicated volunteers that build our homes one hammer at a time. We welcome individuals and groups to join us together. Please Fill out our Volunteer Form right away for more information! In the meantime, please read our Construction FAQ's to familiarize yourself with our routine.

Construction schedule

Saturdays8:00am - 2:00pm (tentatively)

Skilled volunteers

Construction Foreman, Site Supervisor

We need volunteer(s) to be a future Construction Site Supervisor. It is our mission to increase the amount of homes we build per year, and this cannot happen without additional crew leaders. This person should have significant construction knowledge but should also have the patience and teaching skills necessary to allow our unskilled volunteers to make a productive contribution to the build while enjoying the learning experience. There are no pay or benefits to this position unless you take into account the tremendous and rewarding feeling of accomplishment in building a home for a family in need while doing it with a rag tag wonderful group of volunteers. While actual construction takes place only on Saturdays, the successful candidate will also need to devote a few hours during the week doing things like lining up subs, making sure necessary materials are on hand, planning the workday, getting building permits, and so on. Please contact us via email or the signup form for more information!

Committees

These are the core of our organization. Without motivated individuals forming the foundation, we would be unable to complete our house builds. Volunteers looking to do a little more with their time can check our Committees and see if one of them rings a familiar tune to your liking.
